TIPsy Tuesday - Stamping on Twill Tape

Don't have the right color ribbon?  Just stamp a design on twill tape in the color your need.  Just like stamping on ivory cardstock, stamping on a natural color twill tape won't give you a true color.  Yet you can still get very pretty results.  In this card made for this week's color challenge at Splitcoaststampers, I stamped Real Red classic ink on the tape.  Distress inks work very well also.  (I tried SU! craft ink and Colorbox fluid chalk but got the best results with classic dye ink.)

Project Notes:
  • I cased this card from one we did at club this week.  Jean, our demonstrator, has a Big Shot so the bottom of the card we made had a swiss dot embossed panel in the same color as the background.  I don't have anything to do embossing so...
  • The 'Swiss cheese' background was cut on the Cricut.  You could use a Coluzzle or other cutting system that lets you position circles where you want.  When I laid out this one in my SCAL software, I set the circle sizes just a tad larger than my circle punches.  Then I can use the background again for another card and put stamped punch circles inside the holes.
  • I didn't have any Poppy Parade ink was prescribed in the color challenge so I subbed Real Red for the ink with the Poppy paper.
Hope you get a chance to try out the Tempting Turquoise, Poppy Red and White combo this week.  They are great colors together!
