Cooking Class with 6x6 Papers

For over 25 years, I've looked for a local cooking class and I finally found one.  Sur La Table opened a location about an hour from me.  I took a class on Spanish cuisine in February and loved it!  The paella I made here at home was a big hit for Valentine's day.

For the photos from class, Basic Grey's Herbs and Honey collection was perfect.  I had quite a bit of the 6x6 papers but only some scraps of the 12x12 left.

For this 2 pager, I used the 6x6 as mats and the larger pieces as a flap that hides the recipes from class.  Stenciling helps guide the eye from the photos of our process to the finished dish.

If you like 6x6 papers, get those pads ready!  I have a brand new class coming in just a few days with 12 lessons full of ideas for your 6x6 paper pads.  Seven of the lessons are already uploaded but I like to have everything completely done before a class is made public.  I'll post here and send a newsletter mailing about the class as soon as it is ready.

In the meantime, here is the video for this regular process video (not part of the class):

And here is the sketch:

Thanks for watching!

  1. I really love how you included the recipes on the page - the pocket is a fantastic idea! The stencilling looks great too.
