TIPsy Tuesday - Watercolor Crayon Background

Here is an easy background created with watercolor crayons, a spritzer bottle filled with water and some watercolor paper.  This technique is similar to using distress inks but less messy.

For the card on top I used the rough side of the watercolor paper; the smooth side for the card below.  I got a much better embossed image on the lower card.  I also used a little Vintage Photo distress ink around the dried image on the lower card.

This is a fun technique to do as you never know quite how things will look until dry.  You can also repeat the process to add more color.

(Please ignore the white paint on my fingers.  That is from another project - a not-as-much-fun house painting project!)

Thanks for visiting!
